Wandering around the town to find some beautiful wonder, this is the place you would really be amazed to find.
Wander Kitchen of Kamakura, an ethnic style world food place. Bass pale ale on tap, wines, delicious handmade cakes.
Very close to Kamakura Station. Proceed Onari-dori, make a cut back right turn into an aisle at the first intersection of cake shop Ogawaken. Proceed and find a “socks shop” Rasox and you will find a pink flamingo and small name plate with “Wander Kitchen”.
Also, accessible from the other end of aisle from major intersection at Kinokuniya (super market) and City Hall (shiyakusho).
Mesmerizing. African, Asian, Indian, you name it. So much variety of world wide flavors are waiting for you to find them. The plates are just something you won’t find anywhere in Japan.
It all comes from Kurosawa-san, also a musician, local apparel shop and guesthouse owner, who traveled all over the world and applied his experience into local Kamakura life.
Bass pale ale from tap. Thick, mild and smooth. Various selection of affordable wine. Coca-cola in retro glass bottle. Coffee, latte, tea, juice.
Various plates with drink for 1050 yen. This day had four types of curry, chicken cutlet lemon seasoned, and much more.
One of the girls working here makes really great cakes. Incredibly delicious. Today the strawberry tarts looked so good…
Just full of wonders! So visually fun to be immersed in. The place used to be a usual two story house. But Kurosawa-San and the gang redone the place into such casual and magical touch. The colors, fabric, toys, everything just seems to have some meaning, but they’re all melted into the space itself. The rooms, upstairs, staircase, bathroom, entrance balcony, just so good to sit in.
Kids are welcome!
